Kendra and Jake’s Eco-Friendly Wedding – June 2, 2012
The couple married in the heart of the Ozark Mountain range in Arkansas. Their friends and family danced the night away atop one of Ozark’s highest mountains, with a stunning view of the upper Buffalo River Wilderness in Ponca, Arkansas.
Kendra’s hippie wedding dress was a mélange of plum poppies appliqued on an elegant hemp and silk gown. Jake wore a matching custom hemp and silk dress shirt also by Tara Lynn Bridal. Eco-friendly wedding attire was worn by everyone in the bridal party including their son, his suit was hand made by Angela, Kendra’s mother.
Guests were invited by email to share the weekend in a completely sustainable wedding celebration. Their personal wedding website links guests to lodging information to stay in one of the many beautiful cabins at the Buffalo Outdoor Center or at Steel Creek Campground.
The weekend events including a reception with plenty of local and organic food and drinks and non-disposable eating wear. The day after included a river float from Steel Creek to Kyles Landing.
